Virtual events have hundreds, if not thousands of people register, login for a few hours and then never come back. The number one reason for attendee drop off and low satisfaction scores is the failure of the event to include them in the conversation, allow them to socially connect, and offer ways to get attendees truly engaged. The event doesn’t have to rely exclusively on its own programming to create attendee engagement if it partners with its exhibitors and sponsors. A well-designed sponsorship strategy should go beyond advertising and involve the sponsor in activities designed to highlight their company but at the same time promote attendee interaction.
